Job summary

LCMC Health in Louisiana seeks an Operating Room Attendant to support safe and efficient surgical care. You will transport patients to and from surgery, ensure equipment is clean, stocked, and functional, and assist the team during turnovers.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED (or 2 years’ experience), BLS certification, and are available for mid/evening shifts with on-call requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
• 2 years of experience in lieu of diploma
• American Heart Association BLS certification
• Full-Time
• Mid Shift - 10:00AM - 7:00PM
• Rotating Days with On-Call Requirement
• WORK SHIFT: Evenings (United States of America)

Responsibilities

• Assist transporting patients to and from surgery.
• Ensure movable equipment is safely stored and supplies are in their spaces.
• Report nonfunctional or broken equipment to management.
• Assist in maintaining adequate inventory levels.
• Identify patients for transport to surgery.
• Use appropriate cleaning solutions after each use of equipment.
• Assist the operating team with turnover between cases.
• Interact with patients, families, visitors, and staff to maintain a professional environment.
• Attend required safety training and follow OSHA guidelines.
