Job summary

Lifepoint Health's Marquette General Hospital seeks an OR Technician to join our team in Marquette, MI. You will prepare and maintain surgical instruments, support the surgical team, and ensure sterile technique throughout procedures.

Minimum of 6 months experience preferred; High School Diploma or equivalent is required, and BCLS certification is essential. This full-time role offers comprehensive benefits within a large healthcare network.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of a surgical technology program preferred.
• Minimum of 6 months experience in another facility.
• Licenses/Certifications: BCLS required; certification from clinicals completed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain surgical instruments in the OR suite and ensure proper setup, assists surgical team during procedures.
• Anticipate surgeon needs by passing instruments and supplies during procedures.
• Transport to decontamination room after procedures.
• Maintain instruments in good working order and ensure availability for all cases.
• Maintain sterile field and count instruments, sponges, needles for each case.
• Assist in sterilization processes and equipment readiness as needed.
• Verify equipment in OR/Procedure room and ensure sterilization status.
