Job Description

Position Highlights:

• Shift Schedule: PRN
• Department: Surgery Center Clemmons

Job Summary:

Provides care to assigned patients under the supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN), including assisting with direct patient care activities, preparing and stocking the Operating Room before and after surgery, gathering sterile supplies, setting up sterile instrument fields, and maintaining aseptic techniques.

Education/Experience:

• Graduation from a Surgical Technology program or an accredited Nursing school
• OR experience is required

Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
• Certification in specialty area preferred

Essential Functions:

• Ensures quality patient care, safety, and advocacy through critical thinking and anticipation of case-specific needs under RN supervision
• Maintains cleanliness and manages instruments, equipment, and supplies
• Communicates effectively and professionally with team members and patients
• Assumes responsibility for performance and professional growth
• Engages in cost containment activities
