PRN DAYS SURGICAL TECH POSITION AT ROWAN MEDICAL CENTER!

Novant Health is seeking a Surgical Tech. The Surgical Technologist works under the supervision of a surgeon and registered nurse to facilitate the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures, ensuring that the operating room environment is safe, that equipment functions properly, and that the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety. Surgical technologists possess expertise in sterile and aseptic techniques, human anatomy, surgical procedures, and technological tools to support physicians during invasive therapeutic and diagnostic procedures. Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
  Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology or Military Training (68D – Operating Room Specialist). Online programs are not accepted.
• Experience: Previous Surgical Technologist experience preferred.
• Licensure/certification: Current Surgical Tech Certification preferred. New graduates must obtain certification within 12 months of hire if not already certified.
• Skills: Ability to complete competency testing, demonstrate excellent communication, customer service, interpersonal, and time management skills.
