Job summary

San Dimas Community Hospital is seeking an Operating Room Technician to prep sterile supplies and maintain a sterile field during procedures, assisting surgeons with instruments as needed. The role supports a fast-paced surgical team in a community hospital setting.

Ideal candidates include ORT graduates or those with on-the-job training and at least 3 years of experience in surgical environments, with current BLS certification at hire and ongoing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience required for new hires.
• Graduate of an ORT training program or on the job training with a minimum of 3 years experience (surgical setting preferred).
• Experience in scrubbing minor and major procedures in the generalized surgical specialties (e.g., GYN, General and Plastics).
• Experience in scrubbing at least minor procedures in the specialty surgical areas (e.g., ortho, neuro, ENT, Uro.).
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $28.89. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
