Job summary

North Arkansas Regional Medical Center (NARMC) seeks a Surgical Technologist to prepare the OR, scrub in, and assist through each step of procedures with strict aseptic technique. The role emphasizes teamwork, accurate documentation, and cost-effective care.

You will support case turnover, participate in call, and advance through the Levels I–IV career ladder with ongoing competency development and sharing of expertise across perioperative services.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Organize and prepare the surgical suite, equipment, and instruments; document medications and specimens.
  • Perform the first scrub role, maintain sterile field, and assist with dressings and transfers.
  • Uphold aseptic technique; anticipate surgeon needs and manage counts and specimens.
  • Participate in call; support case turnover and patient safety.
  • Precept students/new hires as competency increases and progress through Levels I–IV.
  • Contribute to policy, equipment trials, and quality improvement.

Our vision is to be the region’s most trusted and preferred healthcare provider—one patient, one family, one neighbor at a time.Job SummaryUnder the supervision of the circulating RN, the Surgical Technologist prepares the OR, maintains aseptic technique, performs the first scrub role, anticipates the needs of the surgeon, and ensures accurate counts, specimen handling, and documentation.
