Job summary

ConnectedHealth in Gallup, NM is seeking an Operating Room Technician to support surgeons and the nursing team, ensuring sterile technique and a safe, efficient OR environment.

You will prepare OR rooms and instruments, pass supplies during procedures, assist with patient positioning, perform surgical counts, and help with turnover between cases. A high school diploma or equivalent and prior OR tech experience are required.

Qualifications

• Previous OR Tech experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and equipment for procedures.
• Assist surgeons, nurses, and other surgical staff during procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique and infection-control standards.
• Pass instruments and supplies during procedures.
• Assist with patient positioning and preparation.
• Perform surgical counts and documentation.
• Clean, organize, and restock operating rooms between procedures.
• Help ensure efficient OR turnover and a safe surgical environment.
• Work collaboratively with the surgical and healthcare team.
