Job summary

St. Mary’s Hospital – Kankakee, part of Prime Healthcare Services, seeks an Operating Room Tech to support sterile supplies, maintain sterile field, and assist surgeons across procedures.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, ORT training or on-the-job training with 3+ years in surgical settings, and BLS certification. Per diem, variable shift, with opportunities across GYN, General, Plastics, ortho, neuro, ENT, and uro cases.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience required for new hires.
• Graduate of an ORT training program or on-the-job training with a minimum of 3 years experience (surgical setting preferred).
• Experience in scrubbing minor and major procedures in generalized surgical specialties (GYN, General, Plastics).
• Experience in scrubbing at least minor procedures in specialty areas (ortho, neuro, ENT, Uro, etc.).
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
