Job summary

Virginia Urology is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to join our operating room team in Richmond, VA. The role will scrub on procedures, prep the OR, and support surgeons with instruments and supplies to ensure patient safety.

You will maintain strict sterile technique, assist with room turnover, and participate in ongoing education and adherence to policy and procedure standards. This is a full-time position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of a Surgical Technology program or equivalent work experience.
• Maintains current CPR certification.
• CST certification required.
• Registered with the Virginia Department of Health Professions.

Responsibilities

• Function as scrub in assigned cases and maintain sterile technique.
• Assist in OR prep and instrument setup for procedures.
• Check all instruments for proper working order before use.
• Perform surgical hand scrub and gowning as required.
• Open instrument trays and maintain aseptic technique.
• Provide and anticipate needs of the surgeon during procedures.
• Participate in room turnover and support patient safety.
