Job summary

UVA Health in Charlottesville, VA, is seeking Certified Surgical Technologists to support the Main OR and Outpatient OR across multiple sites. You will scrub in, maintain sterile technique, and assist a high-performing perioperative team for diverse surgeries.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; surgical tech program accredited.
• No experience required for Surg Tech I; more for Surg II or III.
• BLS certification required.
• Virginia Board of Medicine registration required at start date.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surgical supplies and instrumentation based on surgeon preference cards.
• Maintain a sterile field and demonstrate strong aseptic technique.
• Anticipate the needs of surgeons and the perioperative team.
• Support safe, efficient surgical workflows across a variety of procedures.
• Contribute to a collaborative, high-performing OR team environment.

Education

Surgical technologist training program CAHEEP/ABHES OR NCCT Approved program

NBSTSA certification
