Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of a surgical technology program.
• Current CPR Certification.
• LCC-ST or TS-C certification.
• Surgical Technology experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of each patient or procedure.
• Assist in preparing a safe, sanitary environment by following aseptic technique and proper counts.
• Prepare operating rooms for successive cases, assist with cleaning and sterile packs.
• Assist circulating RN with responsibilities in the OR and plaster cast applications.
• Wash and sterilize instruments and ensure proper functioning of equipment.
• Enter charges and review supplies used for each case.
• Coordinate Central Service activities and assist in patient transportation when requested.
• Pursue continuing education by attending staff development programs.
