Job summary

OrthoAtlanta is seeking a Certified Surgical Technician to join our Operating Room team. You will prepare rooms, maintain sterile fields, and support surgeons and nurses during procedures to ensure patient safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist, preferably in orthopedic surgery.
• Knowledge of surgical procedures, tools, and sterile field management.
• Certification required; hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms and ensure all equipment, instruments, and supplies are sterile and set up properly.
• Work closely with the surgeon and registered nurse to anticipate needs and support surgical procedures.
• Maintain strict adherence to sterile techniques and infection control standards.
• Understand the surgical procedures being performed and assist with tasks as needed.
• Help maintain and monitor the sterile field, ensuring the safety of every patient.
• Assist in turnover and restocking of OR following procedures.
• Be an essential part of the Operating Room team, ensuring the smooth flow of each surgical procedure.
