Job summary

Qualifications

• NBSTSA or NCCT certification, or LPN license.
• Graduate of an Accredited Surgical Technology program, eligible for certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintains standards of care for the operative patient per AORN guidelines.
• Prepares the patient environment by stocking rooms and cleaning equipment.
• Anticipates surgeon and anesthesia needs using preference cards and assembles necessary supplies.
• Assists with patient positioning, preparation, and follows Time Out procedures.
• Identifies and mitigates safety hazards; ensures equipment is safe and functional.
• Adheres to universal precautions and infection control; stays current with policy updates.
