Job summary

Cayuga Health's Surgicare in Ithaca is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for full-time days FLEX, onsite at 10 Arrowood Dr. You will contribute to the operating room team, preparing supplies, assisting with patient positioning, and performing counts and Time Out procedures.

The ideal candidate has NBSTSA or NCCT certification or graduates of an Accredited Surgical Technology program and eligible for certification within 12 months; strong infection control awareness and ability to stand

Qualifications

• NBSTSA or NCCT certification or graduation from an Accredited Surgical Technology program and eligibility for certification within 12 months.
• Frequent hand and finger use; ability to lift up to 40 lbs; long periods of standing.

Responsibilities

• Maintains operative care standards per AORN guidelines.
• Stocks rooms, cleans equipment, and prepares supplies.
• Assists with patient positioning, hand scrubs, counts, and Time Out procedures.
• Follows universal precautions and infection control protocols.
• Organizes tasks to meet patient and unit needs and stays current with education.
