Job summary

Elliot Health System in New Hampshire is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to join our OR team. Perioperative staff prepare sterile instrumentation for procedures and assist the team under the Circulator.

The role requires CST/TS-C certification and BLS, with prior OR experience preferred. This position offers a $15,000 sign-on for full-time, premium pay up to $5/hour, and comprehensive benefits with a per diem schedule of 7a-7p.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program required.
• TS-C or CST certification required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• NH Medical Technologist registration required.
• Operating Room experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and prepare sterile instrumentation and equipment for surgical procedures.
• Assist surgical team with verification process.
• Assist intra-operative procedures and with closure procedures.
• Review the surgical booking and matches procedures to preference cards.
• Accurately uses surgical preference cards for selection of instrumentation.
• Inspect instruments for sterility, safety and function.
• Evaluate surroundings to maintain sterile field.
