Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center in Houston, TX, is seeking a Surgical Tech to prepare the operating room and support the surgical team across a variety of procedures. You will set up equipment, assist the team, and help maintain a sterile environment to support patient healing.

Competenze

• Two years of surgical experience required, at hire or upon hire.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification or equivalent.
• CPR/BLS certification within 14 days of hire.

Mansioni

• Assists surgical team in scrubbing per standards and licensure.
• Maintains sterile field and reports breaks in aseptic technique.
• Passes instruments, sutures, medications, and sponges to the surgeon.
• Assists with tissue retraction and suctioning as directed.
• Aids in applying electrosurgical current as directed by the surgeon.
• Performs surgical counts with the RN according to policy.
