Job summary

Surgery Partners in Utah is seeking a Certified Surgical Tech to join the operating room team. You will assist in surgical operations under surgeons and nurses, preparing equipment, maintaining sterile fields, and ensuring patient safety throughout procedures.

The role requires graduation from an accredited surgical technologist program, CST certification (or grandfathered), and Basic Life Support. Prior OR experience is preferred; training is provided as needed in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program.
• CST certification, or based on state regulations, grandfathered in.
• Prefer 1-2 years clinical OR related field experience.
• Must be certified in Basic Life Support.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains medical equipment and instrumentation for surgical procedures
• Set up the sterile field and organize instruments, drapes, and sterile solutions
• Follow state and federal facility regulations when attending to patients
• Perform pre-procedure skin and body preparations
• Assist with passing instruments to surgeons and assistants
• Assist with patient transfer, positioning, and specimen handling
• Decontaminate, clean, and restock the procedure room
• Assist with inventory management and physician preference cards
