Job summary

Ohio State University Hospital is seeking a ST Educator within Perioperative Administration to design, implement, and evaluate training for OR staff and orientation programs. The role involves clinical and classroom education, serving as a resource to improve patient care and teamwork across the unit.

The position requires an Associate’s degree in Surgical Technology, CST or TS-C certification, and at least two years of surgical technology experience, with the ability to apply adult learning

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Surgical Technology.
• Certification CST or TS-C is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of surgical technology experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and evaluate classroom and clinical instruction for OR orientation and ongoing education.
• Act as an educational consultant to improve teamwork, patient care and outcomes in the operating room.
• Model best practices in clinical practice and adult learning for staff development including supervisors and students.
• Collaborate with OR management to achieve department goals.
