Job summary

Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus seeks an ST Educator to design, deliver, and evaluate education for orientation and ongoing staff development in the Operating Room. The role focuses on improving patient care outcomes through expert educational support and collaboration with the patient care team.

The Educator serves as a resource and role model, applying adult learning principles and guiding teams towards excellence in surgical technologist practice and patient-focused care.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Surgical Technology.
• Certification as CST or TS-C required.
• Minimum of 2 years of surgical technology experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and evaluate classroom and clinical instruction for orientation and ongoing staff education.
• Provide educational consultation to the operating room team to improve patient care outcomes.
• Serve as a role model and resource for staff development within OR units.
• Facilitate evidence-based practice and collaboration with health care teams.
