Job summary

McLaren Health Care is seeking an OR support technician to assist the surgery team with direct and indirect patient care in a sterile environment. This role supports instrument preparation, room turnover, and supplies to ensure smooth operative flow.

Part-time schedule, 6:30am-3:00pm, 40 hours per pay period. High school diploma and BLS are required, with preference for prior OR experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• Demonstrates knowledge of medical terminology and asepsis.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgery team with direct/indirect patient care activities in a sterile environment.
• Maintain a safe, orderly patient care environment in surgery and stock supplies.
• Operate autoclave and prepare instrument trays.
• Support room turnover and cleaning duties after procedures.
• Communicate observations to the Registered Nurse and follow directions.
