Job summary

McLeod Health is seeking a Part-time team member to support perioperative operations. The role involves patient positioning, preparing and assisting during surgical procedures, and maintaining sterile, organized OR environments to support efficient care.

Responsibilities include collaborating with nursing staff, ensuring availability of equipment, and adhering to infection control and OSHA standards. BLS certification and a high school diploma or equivalent are preferred.

Qualifications

• Past surgical experience is desirable but not required.
• BLS certification is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a professional image and excellent customer relations with patients, visitors, physicians, and coworkers.
• Assist in safe lifting, turning, positioning and preparing patients for surgical procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment and correct hazards.
• Work with nursing staff to locate equipment needed for procedures.
• Demonstrates knowledge of infection control and OSHA standards.
• Responds to emergencies with first aid and CPR as part of the team.
