Job summary

Frye Regional Medical Center in North Carolina is seeking a Surgical Aide for the Operating Room. The schedule is 5x8 days and you will assist the surgical team by providing basic patient care under the direct supervision of an RN or LPN, while helping with room turnover and the cleanliness of the OR.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; or two years of operating room experience.
• Experience with operating room turnover and readiness.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care under the supervision of an RN or LPN.
• Assists with patient preparation and positioning.
• Supports room turnover, patient transport, and OR readiness between procedures.
• Cleans and sanitizes assigned areas to maintain a safe environment.
• Keeps shelves stocked with supplies.
• Delivers specimens to the laboratory.
• Retrieves X-rays and patient charts as needed.
• Assists with operating room equipment and beds.
• Supports the surgical team by completing tasks promptly and accurately.
