Job summary

St. Joseph’s/Candler Health System is seeking an OR Support Technician to join the Nursing Team. Under licensed staff direction, provide routine non-licensed bedside care and support for OR procedures. You will assist in room setup, patient prep, cleaning, and coordination with practitioner sites.

Candidate should have a high school diploma (preferred) and 1–2 years of cleaning experience. No license is required, and the role emphasizes efficient turnover and regulatory readiness.

Qualifications

The OR Support Technician maintains open communication and is available to component organizations and practitioner sites for consultation

• Areas are kept clean and free of clutter. Case Carts are quickly moved to the case pulling or back-up areas and equipment is returned to appropriate place immediately after use.
• Assists in room set up. Helps move/transport patients. Assists with patient prepping.
• Documents daily temperatures. Assures sub-sterile stocked with supplies/blankets. Stocks assigned area.
• Performs detailed terminal cleaning, case to case cleaning. Maintains department regulatory compliance ready.
