Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an inventory specialist for Surgical Services in Winston-Salem, NC. The role focuses on ordering, receiving, and distributing equipment and supplies for operating rooms, while maintaining accurate stock levels and supporting CMS-imposed tracking requirements.

You will work with clinical staff and vendors to ensure timely delivery, proper documentation, and adherence to internal auditing standards, supporting high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 2 years inventory management experience.
• Prior hospital inventory training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately requisition supplies to meet demand and control costs.
• Maintain designated locations for OR supplies and ensure FIFO usage.
• Coordinate with vendors for returns, recalls, and product evaluations.
• Gather inventory for each operating room case (approx. 20 cases daily).
• Enter implant tracking data daily to CMS tracking systems and assist billing.
