The Scrub Tech, OR, Team Lead shall be responsible for facilitating, coordinating, and evaluating unit activities to ensure the provision of quality patient care. The Team Lead reports to Nursing Leadership and serves as a role model by providing direction in patient care processes, quality improvement standards, and organizational and departmental goals, in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. The primary role of the Team Lead is to act as a clinical leader and facilitator within their service line area. Additional duties may be assigned within the scope of the role.

Qualifications

• Education / Experience: Completion of a Scrub Tech or Scrub Tech First Assist perioperative training program or an accredited Surgical Technology Program/School is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of progressive surgery experience is preferred. Evidence of commitment to continuing education is expected.
• Current role as a Scrub Tech or Scrub Tech First Assistant is required.
• License / Certification: BLS certification required; CST certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire.
• Ability to use computer proficiently.
• Knowledge of regulatory agencies to ensure compliance.
• Knowledge of proper grammar, spelling, punctuation, and document composition.
• Ability to scrub effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to cope with stressful situations and adapt to change.
