Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's degree in Surgical Technology or related field preferred.
• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist Program required.

• BLS certification required.
• 1-2 years of experience as a Scrub Tech in a hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties of a scrub person under the direction of a registered nurse.
• Checks and gathers instruments for each case.
• Maintains a sterile field and takes corrective actions as needed.
• Assists circulating nurse with counts of all surgical items.
• Breaks down setup and prepares instruments for sterilization.
