Job summary

Advocate Health in Milwaukee is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to become a Scrub Nurse in the MAIN OR at St Luke's Medical Center. The role requires current WI RN licensure, BLS, and perioperative nursing experience, with strong aseptic technique and teamwork across a 22-OR environment including Neuro/ENT, General, and Orthopedics.

You will preoperate, assist intraoperatively, manage equipment and environment, and collaborate closely with the surgical team to ensure patient safety

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in WI.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Previous perioperative nursing or surgical technology experience required.
• Strong knowledge of aseptic technique and surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain a clean, safe surgical area.
• Assist with gowning, gloving, draping and sterile field setup.
• Anticipate surgeon needs and pass instruments during procedures.
• Assist as Second Assistant when needed and maintain safe patient positioning.
• Coordinate with team to ensure smooth workflow and patient safety.
