Job summary

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse license in WI.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Previous perioperative nursing or surgical technology experience.
Strong knowledge of aseptic technique and surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

Preoperative preparation: maintain a clean, safe area and assist with gowning, gloving, draping to establish a sterile field.
Intraoperative support: anticipate surgeon needs, pass instruments, hold retractors as needed, maintain asepsis.
Equipment and environment management: set up/operate surgical equipment and ensure sterility across carts and instruments.
Patient care and transport: position and move patients safely; provide age-appropriate care.
Collaboration and communication: notify staff of equipment issues; coordinate with the surgical team for smooth workflow.
