Job summary

Monadnock Community Hospital in Peterborough, NH is seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) or Surgical Technologist (Scrub Tech) for a full-time role. You will collaborate with the surgical team, prepare the OR, and uphold sterile technique throughout procedures to ensure high-quality patient care.

Requirements include BLS, RN license or surgical technologist certification, and at least 1 year OR experience; ACLS/PALS are preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid BLS certification required.
• RN license required OR Surgical technologist certification required.
• 1 year of experience in an operating room setting.
• Proficiency in handling surgical instruments and equipment.
• Strong understanding of sterile techniques and infection control.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Prepare and maintain the surgical suite including the operating room and surgical instruments.
• Maintain a sterile and safe surgical environment, identify and report breaks in aseptic technique.
• Assist surgical team by passing instruments and supplies during procedures.
• Apply knowledge of surgical equipment to maintain best practice surgical protocols.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and assist in patient care before, during, and after surgery.
• Other duties as assigned.
