Job summary

Cullman Regional Medical Center, Inc. is seeking an OR nurse to perform circulating and scrub functions, assist the surgeon, and prepare the operating room for procedures. Must hold an Alabama nursing license with an Associate degree or higher; BSN preferred.

A basic life support certification is required, and one year of experience is preferred. This role focuses on monitoring patient conditions, instrument handling, and direct patient positioning and care before, during, and after surgery

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in nursing from an accredited school.
• Current license by Alabama Board of Nursing.
• BSN degree preferred.
• One year of experience preferred.
• Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition and manage overall nursing care before, during, and after procedures.
• Assist with scrub functions and handling of instruments and supplies as experience permits.
• Directly assist the operating physician with hemostasis, suturing, wound exposure, and patient positioning.
• Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use.

BSN degree preferred. Successful completion of basic life support - health care provider in all units.Experience:One year of experience preferred. Must pass medication test.Additional Skills/Abilities:Possess excellent interpersonal skills sufficient to interact with guests. Proficient oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills required.
