Job summary

HCA Healthcare Trident Hospital in Ridgeland, SC invites a RN PRN to join our surgical services. You will provide patient-centered pre- and post-operative nursing care in a collaborative environment.

We offer self-scheduling, strong teamwork, and ongoing access to equipment and training; on-call during select hours; no travel. Eligible candidates hold an RN license, ADN, and BCLS within 90 days.

Qualifications

• RN license required in SC or eligible for licensure
• BCLS within 90 days of employment start date
• ADN or higher nursing degree required

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education about procedures and peri-operative process.
• Prepare patients including IV therapy, preoperative meds, and site verification.
• Participate in site verification and universal protocols (briefing, time-out, debriefing).
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies and deliver high-quality care.
• Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and staff to ensure safety and workflow.
• Apply nursing process with critical thinking and clinical judgment.
• Document patient condition and care provided during shift.
