Job summary

Conemaugh Nason Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Operating Room (OR) who will support surgical teams across General Surgery, Orthopedic, and Urology cases. The role requires an RN license in Pennsylvania or a valid compact-state license, BLS, and BTNC/TNCC-aligned training within 1 year of hire.

You will work standard hours Monday through Friday with on-call responsibilities every 8–9 weekdays and weekends, contributing to high-acuity perioperative care and patient

Qualifications

• Graduate of a RN program and a current nurse’s license in PA or a valid multistate license (MSL) from compact states.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• BTNC or equivalent training (ATCN, TCRN, TNCC) obtained within 1 year of hire.
• Must be able to work irregular hours including call hours.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the patient's procedure is performed on the correct site, side, and level.
• Maintain wound and tissue perfusion at or above baseline.
• Support patient safety and privacy; protect from infection and injury.
• Develop perioperative plan of care and coordinate handoffs.
• Administer medications safely and monitor patient progress.
• Educate patients and families about perioperative care and recovery.
