Job summary

Methodist Hospital for Surgery in Addison, TX seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the operating room. You will advocate for patients, assess needs across age groups, and collaborate with the surgical team to provide continuity of care.

Requirements include a current Texas RN license, BLS, ACLS (or within 3 months), and at least 1 year OR experience in neuro-spine, spine, and orthopedic joint procedures. Scrub experience or willingness to learn is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Texas RN License.
• BLS certification is required.
• ACLS or completion within 3 months of hire.

• Organizational skills for fast paced OR environment.
• Scrub experience or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient status continuously with focus on physiologic, psychologic and cognitive factors.
• Develop and implement goal-directed, prioritized nursing plans.
• Deliver care using nursing processes to achieve outcomes.
• Establish and maintain priorities based on patient needs and resources.
• Respond effectively in emergencies per protocols; document events.
