Job summary

Surgery Partners Brand is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Post Surgical Unit (PRN) at Methodist Hospital for Surgery in Addison, TX. You will advocate for patients and coordinate care across the healthcare team to meet individual needs, serving adult to geriatric patients on a surgical floor.

The role requires Texas RN licensure, BLS, and ACLS (or completion within 3 months). Two years of surgical floor experience with spine/joint cases is preferred.

Qualifications

• Texas licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required or to be obtained within 3 months of hire.
• Minimum of two years’ staff nurse experience on a surgical floor (spines and joints).

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and collect data to guide nursing care.
• Develop and execute goal-directed care plans with the care team.
• Deliver skilled nursing care and document outcomes in the patient record.
• Prioritize patient needs and coordinate with center resources and staff.
• Respond to emergencies per protocols and maintain patient safety.
• Maintain accurate documentation and work collaboratively with the team.
• Stay compliant with patient rights and facility policies.
