Job summary

UCSF Medical Center in San Francisco is seeking an experienced OR Registered Nurse to join the operating room team. The role emphasizes patient-centered, multidisciplinary care within a high-tech, high-quality environment.

Responsibilities include using the nursing process for safe, therapeutic care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and circulating across multiple service lines with supervision as needed. BSN and CNOR are preferred credentials.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of recent RN clinical experience in an adult operation room in an out-patient setting.
• Flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.
• Possession of the legal requirements to practice as a Registered Nurse as determined by the California Board of Registered Nursing.
• Ability to circulate independently across multiple services including Ophthalmology/Cornea/Retina, GYN/Robotic, GU/Robotic, General Surgery/Robotic, OHNS/Airway, MIS SPINE.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge and abilities essential to the stated nursing behaviors; be accountable to the NURSE SVC SUPV 2.
• Utilize the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care.
• Function as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams.
• Carry out established nursing procedures and related duties as required.
• Provide nursing care for patients with more complex needs with supervision and assist with care management by other nurses.
