Job summary

UCSF Medical Center in San Francisco seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Operating Room to support 14 surgical suites and 2 procedural rooms, delivering high-quality patient care within a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires current California RN licensure and OR circulating capability, with flexibility to work across UCSF locations. Preferred BSN, CNOR, ACLS, and scrub experience in multiple services.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of recent RN clinical experience in an adult operation room in an out-patient setting.
• Possession of the legal requirements to practice as a Registered Nurse as determined by the California Board of Registered Nursing.
• Proficiency ability to independently circulate all case types within multiple services such as Ophthalmology/Cornea/Retina, GYN/Robotic, GU/Robotic, General Surgery/Robotic, OHNS/Airway, MIS SPINE.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge and abilities essential to nursing practice. Follow Nurse Practice Act and report to the Nurse Supervisor.
• Use the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe care.
• Function as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams.
• Carry out established nursing procedures and related duties.
• Provide nursing care for patients with complex needs with supervision.
• Assist with management of patient care by other nursing staff.
