Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Registered Nurse to lead the surgical environment in the Operating Room at Ascension St. John Medical Center.

The role involves scrub and circulating duties, ensuring a sterile and safe operative experience for every patient, and supporting the surgical team throughout the procedure. You will advocate for patient safety, assist physicians with essential tasks, and ensure the OR is fully prepared with all necessary instruments.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse licensure with Oklahoma Board of Nursing before start date.
• Advanced Life Support or BLS certification within required timeframe as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the surgical environment by managing both scrub and circulating functions.
• Advocate for patient safety through monitoring and communication of condition.
• Collaborate with physicians to assist with wound exposure and suturing.
• Prepare the operating suite and instrumentation for readiness.
• Document the surgical events accurately and maintain high-quality records.
