You will work with surgeons, nurses, and techs to ensure meticulous planning, site verification, and continuous improvement in the surgical workflow.

Qualifications

• ACLS required within 90 days of start date.
• BLS required within 30 days of start date.
• PALS required within 90 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education surrounding the procedure and peri-operative process.
• Prepare patients including IV therapy, preoperative meds, and surgical site verification.
• Participate in surgical site verification per hospital policy (briefing, timeout, debriefing).
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care with evidence-based practices.
• Integrate with an interdisciplinary team (providers, surgeons, technicians).
• Apply nursing process, critical thinking, and leadership to deliver safe care.
• Assess patient condition, monitor throughout shift, and document changes.
