Job summary

HCA Healthcare Trident Hospital is seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse to contribute to patient care and surgical outcomes. You will evaluate patients preoperatively, educate patients and families, and support the peri-operative process with a focus on safety and evidence-based practice.

The role involves collaborating with the OR team, managing IV therapy and preoperative meds, and participating in site verification and time-outs. On-call duties may apply.

Qualifications

• RN license required
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (within 90 days)
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery
• Provide patient and family education for the peri-operative process
• Prepare patients including IV therapy and preoperative medications
• Participate in surgical site verification and universal protocols
• Recognize and respond to emergencies in the OR
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care following evidence-based practices
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and OR staff to optimize workflow
