Job summary

University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Operating Room. You will provide perioperative care, scrub and circulate across diverse surgical specialties, and collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia and the broader team to maintain safety and optimize outcomes.

The role requires an MD RN license, BLS and ACLS, and 2–3 years of OR experience with scrub and circulating duties, with bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Maryland; MBON eligibility for compact licensure.
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Minimum 2–3 years of Operating Room RN experience with scrub and circulating duties.
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Deliver independent perioperative care across a broad range of surgical cases.
• Scrub and circulate surgical cases while ensuring patient safety and outcomes.
• Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the multidisciplinary team.
• Apply evidence-based practice and serve as a clinical resource during complex cases.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and support audit readiness.
