Job summary

Mercy Hospital Washington in Missouri is seeking an Operating Room RN - First Assistant to deliver patient care using the nursing process while upholding Mercy's mission and standards. Responsibilities include coordinating care with other departments, protecting patient rights and confidentiality, and providing leadership to fellow caregivers.

A minimum of 2 years intraoperative experience is required, with CNOR and RN-FA certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Missouri (or temporary permit) and active status.
• Minimum 2 years intraoperative scrub/circulating experience; 3+ years preferred.
• BLS/ACLS certified or within 1 year of hire; CNOR & RN-First Assistant within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care with other departments during procedures.
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality through the care episode.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and evaluation of other caregivers in the OR.
• Uphold Mercy mission, values, and service standards in all interactions.
