Job summary

Frankfort Regional Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a registered nurse to join the surgical services team in Kentucky. The role emphasizes patient-centered perioperative care, education, and collaboration with surgeons, nurses, and technologists to ensure safety and efficient workflow.

Expect to work in a dynamic operating room environment with on-call duties during select non-business hours, contributing to continuous improvement and adherence to hospital policies.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required or in process
• Associate degree in nursing or higher
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery
• Provide patient and family education about the procedure and perioperative process
• Prepare patients including IV therapy, preoperative medications and surgical site verification
• Participate in surgical site verification and universal protocols
• Respond to patient emergencies and deliver high-quality, evidence-based care
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safety and efficiency
