Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance during the surgical procedure by providing retraction under the direct supervision of the surgeon.
• Assists Central Services in cleaning, disinfection and sterilization of instruments under supervision.
• Transportation of patients to and from Surgery; prepares the operating rooms for next procedures.
• Maintains and cleans designated areas; disposes of waste and biohazardous materials.
• Assists with room turnover and preparation for following procedures.
• Assists with routine care, maintenance, and troubleshooting of designated equipment and devices.
• Participates in infection control measures and safe handling of supplies.
