Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse to circulate and coordinate the surgical team in the operating room. Provides optimum perioperative nursing care and may scrub as needed, acting as the patient’s advocate.

Qualifications

• RN licensed by the applicable state.
• Graduate of a nursing program; Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
• One year of RN experience in an applicable care setting is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing care for patients in the OR, including direct patient care and education.
• Scrub assistance may be required to support the surgical team.
• Advocate for patients and families throughout perioperative care.
• Lead within Mayo Nursing Care Model and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
• Demonstrate leadership through preceptor roles and committee involvement.
