Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program.
• Graduate of a baccalaureate nursing program preferred, but not required.
• One year of RN experience in an applicable care setting is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Experience working in a team environment.
• Computer skills required, prior experience with electronic medical record systems preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours, which may include days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends and on-call.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing care for the OR patients and supervise perioperative activities.
• Provide direct patient care and patient/family education.
• Act as patient advocate and participate in leadership roles and quality improvement efforts.
• Scrub as needed and coordinate with the surgical team to ensure safe, efficient care.
• Delegate patient care according to skill level and resources.
