Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Florida is seeking a dedicated OR RN to coordinate perioperative nursing care in a 34-operating room environment. You may scrub as needed and advocate for patients throughout the perioperative process.

Responsibilities include leading nursing care planning, education for patients and families, and collaboration with the Mayo Nursing Care Model. Periop 101 training is available; visa sponsorship may be provided for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• RN accountable for coordination of nursing care and transitions of care.
• Professional nursing practice across settings per ANA standards.
• Leadership through preceptor roles and quality improvement.
• Excellent communication; mentoring and teaching activities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing care and direct patient care.
• Educate patients and families; manage transitions of care.
• Lead within the Mayo Nursing Care Model; plan and evaluate care.
• Contribute to quality improvement and committees as needed.
• Delegate care by skill level and resources availability.
