Job summary

North Suburban Medical Center is seeking an OR Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Services team. You will contribute to an interdisciplinary environment and support patient care across adult to pediatric populations.

Responsibilities include preparing for procedures, managing stock and equipment, and assisting with post-procedure workflow while mentoring staff. A BSN is preferred and ACLS/PALS are required within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multi-state Registered Nurse license.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
• One year minimum experience in the perioperative (OR) setting is required.
• ACLS and PALS certification within 6 months of hire.
• CNOR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Apply OR nursing skills to adult, adolescent, geriatric, or pediatric populations as applicable.
• Prepare for each procedure by ensuring adequate stock and equipment.
• Assist with post-procedure cleanup and setup for the next procedure.
• Teach, supervise, and serve as a resource for staff within the competency framework.
• May rotate to areas other than OR, performing only those duties you are competent in.
