Job summary

Surgery Partners is seeking an experienced perioperative registered nurse to support patient care across preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases. The role emphasizes assessment, care planning, and coordinated execution within a fast-paced operating room environment.

Ideal candidates hold a Texas RN license, BLS, ACLS/PALS or completion within 3 months, and have at least 2 years of OR experience. Strong organizational skills and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Must possess organizational skills to function in a fast paced OR environment.
• 2 year OR experience
• BLS and ACLS/PALS prerequisites or completion within 3 months of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Performs assessment/data collection in an ongoing and systematic manner, focusing on physiologic, psychological and cognitive status.
• Formulates a goal directed plan of care, prioritized based on nursing diagnosis and patient outcomes.
• Implements care in a knowledgeable, skilled manner to reach target patient outcomes via nursing processes.
• Establish priorities of patient care based on essential needs and available resources.
• Performs efficiently in emergency patient situations following established protocols.
• Demonstrates knowledge in medical/surgical patient care, and pharmacology related to anesthesia and lab values.
• Reviews physician orders and carries out in a professional manner.
• Willing to assist with other duties when asked.
