Qualifications

• 1 year OR experience or perioperative training in OR/ASC
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Active RN license in good standing with the Nevada State Board of Nursing
• AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Quarterly AHA RQI competency certification post-hire is required

Responsibilities

• Performs initial patient assessment and reassessments per patient condition and adheres to all policies and professional standards.
• Applies the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation) to care decisions with critical thinking and clinical judgment.
• Maintains the ability to safely and effectively care for the patient population assigned and follows all standards.
• Manages medication administration and IV access per physician orders and adheres to standards.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and care team to promote patient- and family-centered care.
