Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health in New Jersey seeks a dedicated nurse to deliver evidence-based patient care in a fast-paced ED. You will communicate with patients and the care team, administer medications with advanced bar-scanning systems, and document care in real-time to ensure safety and quality.

The role requires an active NJ nursing license, BLS/CPR, ACLS, and BSN in progress or commitment to obtain within three years.

Qualifications

Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license is required.
BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association.
BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three years of hire.
1 year of ED experience required.
ACLS certification.
PALS and CEN preferred.
Ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing patient needs, strong accountability, teamwork, ongoing education, and dedication to high quality care.

Responsibilities

Deliver nursing care per evidence-based practice and standards of care.
Maintain ongoing communication with patients and care team regarding status and plans.
Administer medications using bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
Document patient assessments, plans of care, interventions, and evaluations in real-time.
Provide patient- and family-centered education to optimize health and disease management.
Discharge patients safely with coordinated transitions of care.
